🌿 Department of Liberal Studies

As the head of Liberal Studies department at Mawego National Polytechnic, it is a pleasure to witness the growth and transformation of our students as they navigate the multidisciplinary paths we offer. Our department stands as a foundation for critical thinking, effective communication and ethical leadership, empowering students to engage with real-world issues from diverse perspectives.

In Liberal Studies, we aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills to address complex societal challenges. From understanding the dynamics of social structures to analysing the impact of cultural shifts, our programmes encourage students to explore both local and global issues. Courses in Social work, Community development and Communication prepare our students to be adaptable, thoughtful and responsible citizens, ready to make meaningful contributions in their communities.

Together, let us continue to empower our students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed both personally and professionally.
