The Procurement Department in The Mawego National Polytechnic plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient, transparent and compliant acquisition of goods and services needed to support training delivery and office operations. Its core functions are divided into operational and training responsibilities. Procurement continuously builds internal capacity through policies, systems and compliance, aligned with procurement laws and best practices.

The department operates under the guidance of relevant procurement legislation such as the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, Regulations, circulars and continuously strive to upholds core values including transparency, accountability, fairness, integrity and value for money. The Principles ensure that procurement activities are lawful, ethical and aligned with relevant standards. The Mawego National Polytechnic aligns training curriculum and Administrative operations with these legal frameworks while promoting professionallism.
